Albania EnvironmentCivil Engineering  Real Estate &Geospatial Infrastructure Project

The Climate Resilience and AgricultureDevelopment Project (CRAD) in Albania, financed by the World Bank, supports theMinistry of Agriculture and Rural Development in upgrading national food safetyinfrastructure. The assignment covers the feasibility studies, environmentaland social assessments, detailed designs, and supervision planning for four AKUregional laboratories (Shkodër, Durrës, Fier, and Korçë) and two storagefacilities (Shkodër and Korçë). The project ensures alignment with EU standards(ISO/IEC 17025) and the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework,emphasizing laboratory biosafety, workflow efficiency, and compliance. Itsoverall goal is to strengthen Albania’s food safety, veterinary, and planthealth systems, enhancing institutional readiness for EU integration and publichealth protection.

Procurement of IT equipment

The project, financed under the Western Balkans6 Regional Challenge Fund (RCF) with support from KfW Development Bank, focuseson the procurement, delivery, and installation of IT equipment to enhancevocational education and training in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Implemented by theWestern Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6-CIF) through the consortiumIPC-PLANCO-Swisscontact-KPMG, the contract supports the Sarajevo School ofScience and Technology (SSST) in implementing cooperative training programs.The procurement includes IT hardware, access control and camera systems, andsoftware licenses, structured into three lots. Overall, the project aims tostrengthen digital capacities in vocational training institutions, promotinglabour market relevance and regional skills development.

The scopeincludes delivery, installation, commissioning, and staff training to supportcooperative training programs between vocational institutes and enterprises.Managed by the WB6 Chamber Investment Forum and implemented by IPC on behalf ofthe consortium IPC-PLANCO-Swisscontact-KPMG, the contract is structured as aunit-price, 90-day implementation following award. Ultimately, the projectseeks to enhance the quality and employability outcomes of vocational trainingthrough modernized facilities and technology integration.

The Real Estate Cadastre and GeospatialInfrastructure Project (REGIP), financed by the World Bank (IDA-63540)andimplemented by the Kosovo Cadastral Agency, aims to improve the data qualityand integrity of the Kosovo Cadastre Land Information System (KCLIS-T). Thescope of the contract, titled “Data Improvement in KCLIS-T,”focuses oncorrecting, updating, and completing cadastral personal data by ensuring thatall owners, users, and other right holders are properly identified withofficial identifiers from national registries. The project will raise cadastraldata accuracy and interoperability across public systems, directly supportingbetter land governance and transparency.

The scope is to establish an electronic bordersurveillance system at Lake Skadar, Montenegro, to enhance border monitoringand security. It includes the construction of infrastructure such as antennatowers, installation of sensor and radio-relay equipment, and integration withthe Ministry of Interior’s optical network. The contractor will also procureand implement software and hardware to create a unified, real-time surveillancesystem connected to a Central Operations Centre. Implemented under theInternational Organization for Migration (IOM), the project is a turnkeycontract ensuring full functionality and operational readiness upon completion.
